Economic Stability Programs Intern

    1. Type: Internship (for credit)
    2. Timeframe: Spring 2020
    3. Description: HWCLI Seeks an intern to assist with its regional economic resiliency and access to healthcare and human services programming.  The position would be a mixture of administrative, research, and client-facing work.  
    4. Key Responsibilities:
      • Some client engagement, if they call with general questions or have discrete asks. 
      • Assisting with organizational and administrative duties such as scheduling meetings, following up with partners. 
      • Topical research on healthcare systems, referral processes, best practices, and historic and demographic trends centering on food insecurity, chronic health issues, racial disparities in health outcomes, and outreach strategies. 
      • Drafting interagency and internal communications based on research findings, drafting partner surveys, assisting with report writing. 
    5. Requirements:
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills, writing sample required. 
      • Customer service experience 
      • Flexibility/adaptability to a faced paced work environment 
      • Ability to triage several high priority tasks and assess the importance 
      • Experience in serving vulnerable communities preferred.
